MLA Masterpieces

MLA wanted to inspire chefs to cook with secondary cuts of beef, lamb and goat so we created a challenger style YouTube series where top Australian chefs got to choose who they wanted to battle it out against in the ‘Masterpieces’ kitchen to settle the score on who is the better chef!

The light-hearted nature of the competition and on-screen chemistry between chefs proved a success when it came to viewership and engagement, putting secondary cuts back on the menu.

A light-hearted challenger style series where the chefs take the cooking seriously but the competition is a little more fun.

Each episode, a chef chooses who they wanted to battle it out against in the ‘Masterpieces’ kitchen and meet for a friendly cook-off to see who can create the most delicious dish using a secondary cut of beef, lamb or goat.

In Series 1, the chefs invites a mutual friend to come in and choose the winner, while in Series 2, we introduced a judge into the mix – respected restaurateur, Christian McCabe.
